Photographs

I like to work from one main photograph with others for reference. When placing an order please send  me one main photo that, you feel best represents the subject (making sure that it's in focus!), the subject is completely in the frame and the colour is good. For group portaits I will need  several individual photos, but please bear in mind I can only paint what I see!  For the best results i need good photographs of the subjects!

Obviously sometimes obtaining new photos can be difficult so if you have any doubts about the quality of your existing photos please contact me and we can discuss the best way forward. You can email me your photographs or send them through the mail in either print form or on a CD, whichever suits you best. I will, of course, take good care of any photos you send and return them after the commission is complete.

If you have no suitable photographs and would like me to visit you and take my own photographs for reference i would be happy to do so. Again if you contact me we can discuss the cost of travel etc.

Finished Painting

It is very  important to me that you're completely happy with your finished portrait and so, before sending you the finished painting, I'll send an email with  a photograph of the finished piece to ensure that you like it. Once you have approved this and the final part payment has been received I will send you the finished portrait via next day courier service.

Time from order until delivery

Usually i will need a fortnight to complete the portrait, however this can vary according to the number of commissions i have, so please order in plenty of time if you have a specific date you need the portrait for!

Delivery

 Delivery for a single portrait within the UK is also included in the initial price, for group portraits (i.e., larger paintings) please ask for a quote before the commission is ordered and for destinations outside the UK please ask for a quote before ordering.

Payment

Once you have decided to go ahead I will require a 50%  deposit to confirm the order.

Payment can be made by either personal cheque or by Paypal, please contact me to confim payment method and i will send you an invoice.
